Stage One

The focus at stage one is for you to become familiar with the dynamics of global fashion. Fashion trend forecasting, foundations of marketing, an introduction to marketing communications, and the importance of having an understanding of consumer behaviour are studied in great depth. At this stage, you will also develop your visual literacy and copywriting skills as well as essential academic competencies.

Stage Two

At stage two you will focus on fashion professional practice. You will explore aspects of PR management and develop an awareness of brand image and which you can then apply to real-life contexts. Your marketing knowledge and skills are developed through modules on integrated marketing communications, brand management, the role of the fashion entrepreneur and merchandising and buying.

Career Opportunities

The course equips you with the necessary in-depth skills and knowledge to succeed in fashion promotion roles such as fashion PR, exhibition and event management, or as stylists working on fashion shoots, or as fashion journalists and marketing managers for fashion houses and retailers. The advertising and digital marketing industries also provide a wide range of exciting employment opportunities for Fashion Marketing graduates, including digital media executive roles, media planner or buyer, brand manager positions and account manager in a marketing communications agency.
