Key Modules

West Ham have really embraced the whole philosophy around education, so I can see our students having lots of opportunities presented to them,” says Dr Marcia Wilson, Head of School at UEL.

"Those opportunities could come in many forms. You’ll be gaining an insight into the life of a major football club and getting a feel for both the sports and the football industry. Following your academic work, placements and practical work, you’ll be ideally prepared to launch your career in sport. We’ve also aligned the course especially so students can progress onto one of our current sports degree courses.”

If you find that you would like to continue your studies after your two years with West Ham United Foundation, you could choose to study for a third year in one of UEL’s BSc (Hons) courses, either in Sports Coaching or Sport, Physical Education and Development.

After you have completed your university studies, you will have a recognised degree qualification, contacts within a Premier League football club and other organisations, as well as access to job opportunities within West Ham United and the growing sports industry.

This is a unique opportunity with West Ham United Foundation and UEL, where you can combine academic theory and practice, whilst building a fantastic CV and network for years to come.
